Photographer’s Note
Doing a jeep safari in the Masai Mara is not very original, but it is still great fun. This young lioness was one among 9 hunters whih moved slowly up against the wind in the search of prey. So I had nine attempts to devellop a motive of the biggest of cats. I like it because of the vivd colours, the diagonal from head to treetop and the sheer beauty and elegance of Ms. Simba.

This is a beautiful animal. I guess safaris are not very original as you said but I'd give anything to be able to experience one some day. You have really warm colors here that contrast nicely with the dark sky and the tree gives a nice balance of attention. I would like to see a little lower perspective though, seeing the cat more as a silhouette in front of the tree. This would probably mean you would have had to come closer though...

I like the strong colours and the balance between the ground and sky. Trees breaking up the skyline work well. I'm not so comfortable with the portrait format. To me this type of shot cries out to be landscape format. I would love to see something of what has captured the attention of the lion.
I appreciate that you couldn't move from where you were and maybe the lens wouldn't enable you to get the lioness and the sky in the same shot. I certainly don't think the shot would really work at all without the sky, so if this was the only way to capture all the elements then OK.

It's cute !
The sky is nice.
The composition with the tree is interesting but on the other hand it's not very good to have the lioness looking on the left and in the left corner. It's a picture which I will like to take:)

Une image très riche en détails.
L'animal présenté dans le sens de sa marche offre beaucoup de qualité à la photo en ne donnant aucun flou.
Vraiment joli Bravo Mikkel

I can't help but look at photos as if I would paint them. This has really strong compositional details and vivid color and would stand well even without the lion. Even though something walking out of the picture is not usually a good compositional element I think that it would work well with a crop at the base of the front ankle. It, for some reason, is more visualy appealing that way.

Hi, Mikkel!
I like this shot! It is well composed, with good colours... And the lioness is pretty!
