One of the things that amazed me, when I visited Africa, was that everything I knew in the rest of the world exists here in huge scale and in abundance.
I found this huge ant hill in the entrance of Lake Bogoria Park. I think it's a nice visit card...
Unlike other parks in Kenya, Bogoria is of hard acess and seldom visited by tour groups, so you can stay there completely alone. There are no lodging facilities though, and you have to camp. We did that and it was an amazing experience.

A very impresive ant hill this you showed us. I never thought that things like this could exist.
Really amazing shot!!

Impressive construction, I like this rising "tail" that makes it look very different from the ants mounts I have seen in Australia, the house is good to give us a scale and make it even more impressive.
Have a nice day,

An interesting sight, Ricardo, it seems that the ants working on this one were eager to construct a skyscraper :) In terms of color and textures, the ant hill also makes a nice contrast to the lush greenery of the surroundings.

What a fascinating scene! You have captured this giant ant hill very skilfully. The contrast between this natural wonder and the house alongside is amusing. I like the soft brown hues and tones emanating from the ant hill onto the surrounding ground. Great textures here. A very artistic and inspiring shot, Ricardo.

Woooowwww, that's really impressive. I've never seen anythings like that (but then, I've never been to Africa neither)!
Good compo with the vertical format and I like the fact that you included the house in the picture because it show us that this anthill is really HUGE!!!!

Hola otra vez, Ricardo.
