This is a 'sister' shot to my last upload. I wasn't really sure how to categorise it but I like the design element of the subject. The textures and multiple shades of white interested me and I took several shots of the subject. Somehow the whole feel of the shot speaks to me of the colonial past.

Hello Rosemary, this must have tested your poor exposure meter!
Good use of the tripod and settings has given a pin sharp image that shows up all the brush strokes in the paint work and the folds of the materials.
There`s a fine range of tones that enhance the whole setting.
Best wishes Les.

I love this for its artistic merit. The textures on the the old wood are lovingly wrapped in the cream coloured curtain. Indeed, it does speak of its colonial past. Really beautiful.
Best wsihes, Ann
p.s. I am intrigued by your use of f32 for this shot (indeed any shot) as I thought that it is well beyond the 'sweet point' on a lens and can distort (not that I have noticed it). I recently asked a well known landscape photographer what he advised. He suggested never going higher than f13 (f16 at the very most) to prevent artefacts. What are your thoughts?

It is a stunner Rosemary. delineation of those particular colours with this clarity makes for a very difficult shot but you have handled it very well. Beautiful design and intent.

C'est joliment composer , cadrer, le contraste du "drap" avec la texture du bois blanc est magnifique, c'est un peu comme une oeuvre d'art, compliment

Now this I like in every way !
A glorriously extravagent melee of creams and whites, with a hint of blue for balance, and some definite shapes for grounding the shot.
It would, as my dear Mother used to say, ( in many ways her highest accolade ) make a wonderful embroidery.
I say 'this' I like, I was less sure about the sister view. Lovely in many ways, the concept not least, but I was desperate to crop the excess bed and curtain, which I thought overwhelming. I did myself a WS, but couldn't bring myself to impose it upon you !! oh me of little faith...
heck, maybe I will...

Quand on ouvre l'image, on est un peu intrigué par ce que l'on voit; est-ce une peinture, un dessin ou une photographie? En tout cas, l'image est splendide avec un très beau rendu des matières et des textures. J'admire cette œuvre d'art.

So this was the picture you took whilst reclining on your bed, shutter release in one hand and a glass of vino in the other?
However you took it, it's a fine picture with lovely subtle tones and light. The textures of the stucco of the wall and the scumble finish on the bedrails are a wonderful contrast to the texture of the smooth drapes. Well composed, well seen and with perfect exposure and stunning detail and sharpness.

I like the minimalist colour & high contrasted lighting here. The textures of the rough wall, compared with the delicate fabric of the curtains, are eyecatching. Good sharpness & nice tonal nuances. Tfs!

un plan plus rapproché sur cette très belle draperie, j'aime la qualité des lumières et le endu précis des textures.

a vision in white! This is so exquisitely beautiful. Full of such sensitive textures and contrasting elements that are all perfectly balanced and harmonious. I love it! Executed and presented brilliantly!

Hi dear Rosemary
Whilst both "sisters" are lovely, I think I prefer this sister to the previous one. Excellent close-up, details and textures. I'm impressed that you've made something look so extraordinary out of something so ordinary. Clever girl! Congrats.

a class touch and a raffinate picture.
It is not easy to take beautiful pictures with so few colors available. We must do well on light and in this case, you played great!
The light is fantastic and it shows well the shapes, shaping up well foreground and background.
It looks like a frame from an old movie.

Well-designed and made beautiful composition. I like the contrast between "white" and "white" with the delicate staining present.
A great job, congratulations and thanks of the post.
Greetings and best wishes for good Sunday ... Marino

Thanks for your visit Rosemary.
What a fancy "getup" wrapped around Cinderella's bed.
Fantastic high-key match, indeed, for an original poster!
