Conakry Grand Mosque was built by Ahmed Sékou Touré. It is the largest in West Africa. Ahmed Sékou Touré was an African political leader and President of the Republic of Guinea from 1958 to his death in 1984.

Hi Achim,
well chosen angle for this well framed view on this fine piece of architecture. The dome in the middle. the 4 minarets and the low but wide building with all those corners make a fine complex.

The POV is fantastic and the mosque is simply beautiful. However, I believe your picture is lacking brightness. I have tried shadows/highlights in photoshop and I think it comes up much better and nicer. Please have a try and let me know.
I still remember Sékou Touré as one of the most influential African leaders after the Angolan independence in 1975.

A fine composition of this impressive mosque nicely framed by the trees. I think it might benefit from some work on the levels and a slight increase in contrast but only my personal opinion.

The trees are framing well the Grand Mosque. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of Conakry Grand Mosque. The picture is clear and precise. The low lighting seem to be giving darker colors to the picture. Have a nice day.

Quite different & modern design of the mosque with rectangular profile of the minarets rather than rounded ones, twoering over the rest of the structure. Well framed with the trees on either side. Well done & thanks for the note again!
