Bolama
This series are a tribute to the beautiful people of Bolama.
"In the streets of Bolama"
The firewood route
Children are real main workers to reach daily survival.
In Bolama island life goes around daily subsistence.
Agriculture,and a important seasonal resource: the cashew.
Some hunt is available the other side of the channel.
The ocean provides the fish... lots of.
Isolation could be a problem if we don't have means to do what is necessary.
The opinion that in general we have differentiated health cares some nearby ...is a pure mirage for this people.
Next to Bolama is Bissau,about 4-5 hours boat,departures and arrivals conditioned by the change of tide and climate.

Mais uma foto bem representativa daquela realidade.
Nesta é impressionante que se vê bem que o tronco é muito maior que o menino. E não deve ser leve.

Mas o miúdo parece não ter mais do que 6/7 anos, se os tiver. E estava assim como um pouco medroso de te ver com uma máquina fotográfica. O trabalho infantil é uma triste realidade de sobreviv6encia em África mas pelo menos, este não tem o ar de faminto como os outros do Congo.
É uma foto documento muito boa e devia ser mostrada em muitos lugares deste mundo, especialmente à maioria dos políticos que nos "des"governam.
