Photographer’s Note

Back in 1986 in Accra, capital city of Ghana, one of the 10 poorest country in the world, while visiting a local market I came across this girl against this blue wall with a yellow hat and this hapiness tooth... It just could not be missed:-)

Très expressif et respirant la joie de vivre, comme portrait, malgé des conditions de vie certainement pas évidentes !
J'aime énormément la complémentarité des couleurs, particulièrement le mur bleu du fond avec le doré de la coiffe : c'est vraiment ce qui fait l'originalité de la photo je trouve.
Un petit bémol sur la version postée ici (mais je pense qu'il n'existe pas sur la photo originale) : un très léger manque de netteté.

Je fonce voir ta gallerie parce que j'aime vraiment cette manière naturelle de photographier les gens ;o).

Lovely light here on her face and "hat", adding to a very nice expression. Th epose and her viewpoint off to the left work really well together.

Love the things Africans can do with their hair; the texture is so different.

J'aime beaucoup les portraits de ta gallerie, celui ci fait aussi parti de mes préférés, nottament en raison du mariage de couleur entre le fond bleu et le chapeau jaune sur la tête du modèle

Votre galerie de photos mérite plusieurs visites tant il y a de merveilleux portraits qui racontent un peu les gens des pays visités..
Celui-ci a tout spécialement attiré mon attention par ses couleurs et sa composition. Le sujet légèrement décalé vers la droite pour éviter trop de symétrie... cette pose et ce sourire...

beautiful contrast.
however, i wished it was a bit more sharp in image.
