| The inhabitants of the village are patiently waiting for the decision of the politicians: are they going to be selected to have a deep well fitted with a handpump for their drinking water supply? The programm is clear: 250 wells are going to be drilled in communities where they are most needed. The selection criteria are the following ones: the present source is far away, unreliable and dirty. Moreover the village should contribute 2,000,000 cedis (200 Euros), and open a bank account where they should regularly put some amount to pay for the spare parts of the handpumps when they break. |
