Shopping for fabric in Ghana is like turning a kid loose in a candy store. Fabulous batiks, tie dyes and prints are available everywhere with tailors ready to create your clothing in hours.

very well composed. I love the colors contrasting to the silouette of the woman in the middle.

A fine picture that captures the spirit of Ghana

I think the colors in this photo are stunningly beautiful! It sure catches ones attention. I do wish you could see her face a bit better. I also like your note about the fabric store. Excellent Work! Welcome to TrekEarth!

I love the colors of the photo and also that you have a nice subject included amongst the fabric.

The original work is indeed captivating--wonderful expression of the beauty of art and life seen throughout all of West Africa! Of the more the fifty photos I enjoyed on my first exploration as a new member last week, it was Merci's Fabric Store that caught my eye and imagination. And today I returned to view the discussion. The worshop Photoimpression addition of highlights really pulled it all together. Bravo! and more please.....

It is not just the colours that make this picture good but also the non contemporary composition and the shoot angle. I would say that is "out of the box" composition (or may be just Lucky).

So many colors. Very nice composition. I like the bright choice of fabric.

Hello Doug
A nice shot with a lot of great colors in it.
I remember well the market in Accra, and it was a joy to walk through it and see beautiful colored fabrics.
