Photographer’s Note
For my 100th post i have chosen this one from Ghana!
I finished scanning in my pictures from there, and the next 3 uploads will be of 3 different trade forts on the coast of Ghana.
This one was a Dutch fort named fort orange and built in 1640, now converted into a lighthouse. The guy who tends the light, lives there with his family. When we visited we were invited in, and he showed us around himself.
The picture is a scan, and i have repaired some heavy scratches in it.
Below you can find links to earlier uploads of forts in Ghana:

Hi Harry,
Congratulations for your first 100th posts and best wishes for the next and many more hundreds, thousands.
Your view of this huge forte is very nice with your naturally lower POV. Road, path in green and especially its old texture tells more. Congratulations.
Best Regards,
Ertugrul

Hej Harry,
Congratulations on your 100th post on TE! It's a very nice one of this old fort. Placed well in the composition and captured from a good POV. Good work!

Happy 100th Harry!
I'd love to make a trip like this. Somewhere really remote where tourists are not a common site. I'd be interested in seeing another angle on this fort (showing the sea/ocean) maybe posted as a workshop?
An interesting subject, with a good exposure- but the image could benefit from a run through noise removal software (such as 'Neat Image').
All the best,
- Dan

First of all, I wish you a happy 100th.
The pov makes the fort a little scarrying and bigger than it must be. That's a good visual effect. Good light and cropping too.

Hi Harry
Noisy, but very interesting capture. I like the old for. Good perspective and nice colours.

Hi Harry, I guess the past of this place is not as nice as your picture makes us think. You wrote trading forts, right? Trading what? People to get to the Americas as slaves? Anyway the picture itself is nice and I like the grain texture of it a lot.
TFS, Peter
