Photographer’s Note
A typical Gambian house in the urban areas close to the capital, Banjul. I was invited to this house to witness how the family living here live. There were 15 kids and three women living in cramped conditions without running water or electricity.

Hi Paul, This is an absolutely beautiful shot! The colours are outstanding and I love how all these different items are (neatly) scattered around the courtyard. The people all have a good attitude as do the 2 chicken! I just wonder why were there no men living there? This image has a lot of human interest and I think it's an excellent shot! Thanks for sharing! Sabine
