The intimate atmosphere
of the country rocky-hewn church
of Maryam Papaseiti
in the Gheralta range.
After an hour walk
in the fields
I reach this quiet place.

Walking barefoot
on the staw on the ground
I follow the priest handling a candle
trying to enlighten the old frescoes
Silences around
it was like knockin on heaven's door...

Ciao Luca, ho visto le tue foto, molto belle.
Questa mi piace perchè l'uomo e il dipinto hano la stessa espressione.
Anche tecnicamente è molto ben fatta , nitida e ben calibrata.

Great atmosphere with the candle light and I like that the expression of the man is similar to that of the painting behind him. Nice warm tones and composition.

Strong connection between those faces. He's showing quite a lot of character on this. Excellent harmonous colours on warm candle light. Well done on low light.

Se non lo scrivevi non si capiva proprio che questo era un prete!
Che foto strana e suggestiva! che atmosfera doveva esserci in quella chiesa remota!
Molto bella la contrapposizione tra dipinto murale e il volto dell'uomo: stessa colorazione. E che occhi, che espressione!
Più che una foto mi sembra una scena congelata di un film.
Mi piacerebbe sapere il seguito di questa storia...

Impressionante la somiglianza del volto umano con quello dell'affresco. Stessa inquietante espressione degli occhi.
Ma era in posa o no? In entrambi i casi sei stato bravissimo!

J'aime beaucoup les couleurs de terre de cette image. Le portrait est très beau, belle atmosphère dans cette image.
