Photographer’s Note
Taken at the rooftop restaurant of the Dembell Mall at Bole Road in Addis Abeba. Bole road is the road which goes to the Airport. The Southeastern suburbs of Ethiopia's capital house its upper class.
Like many other african countries, people who are connected to the government benefit from business permits which allow them to become wealthy.
A case in point: There is a lack of construction materials in the country, but apperently only two cement factories.
The government owned one its not working, and the one in Mekele is owned by someone with government connections. So why is there no other Cement factory in the country??
You are free to answer the question yourselves.

Well caught, well composed the mood created by the twilight is memorable.

Hey Daniel,
I like the title of your pic; however I think that the sky looks overexposed, and the subject matter underexposed.. It's not really working for me.. Interesting note as well, and the frame is good too. Thanks for sharing

Hola Daniel.

Hi Daniel,
Excellent picture backed up by a very topical note. The gap between the 'haves' and the 'have nots', the rich and the poor are widening everyday in these third world countries. While the couple (obviously well off) is sipping coffee, down the streets there are probably hundreds struggling to make both ends meet.
Thanks for sharing

Daniel,

The whole world is obviously missing this kind of pictures from 'those'countries.
Why obviously?
If we send food for them to salve their dying children, WITHOUT naming the problem properly, we are only creating more and more problems.
Isn't that obvious?
So here is the proper name for the problem:
Parents in Etiopia are kiling their own kids!!!!
Let's repeat that over and over from every tribune of the world. It won't cost us nothing.
3-4 years from now, there won't be any dying children in Etiopia!
Eh,dream...Just the dream...
