This is a second view of this young cattle herd we met on the road who was covered in flies and ticks. This time it is reworked in b/w following a critique by a member. Ithink he was right!

I haven't seen the original, but this is a very fine photo.

Flies I can tolerate, but ticks, surely he would see the ticks and pick them off.
A great human condition portrait though, a very direct stare he is giving you.
Good contrast, and the out of focus background does not detract for the face.
Thanks.

I too never saw the original, but this is good. His gaze is very intent isb't it.

National Geographic's photo?! :-)
very good photo, I like it... Brilliant sight! LeOS

Hi Neil,
Wooooow beautiful portrait.
much better than the color version.
impressive and sensitive on the same time.
10 pts if i could.

Tom

The image is quite beautiful in black and white. His bone structure is so delicate and his condition from the ticks is heartbreaking. It is a truthful and honest image.

Hello Neil.

Best regards
Nikos.
