Photographer’s Note

No it is not the throw of water of Geneva. It is more modest, and ejects its water, or rather a sour liquid, not in more than 40 cm high. On the tray of Dallol, these breads of salt are formed by the deposition of salts contained in the saturated liquid which escapes from it. This fact they grow slowly. Colours change according to chemical composition. The whole gives a landscape of Hell

Well, it isn't the "jet d'eau" - but I think it's much more interesting and perhaps even more beautiful! ;-) These colours simply are incredible and so gorgeous! This really must be an impressive and worth-visiting place. Thank you for showing this!

Hello Jacques,
It's been a long time.
This is a valuable image rarely seen on TE. Captured the throw of water expertly making good use of the shade in the background, but when seeing on sRGB color space, it is seen with highlight and hue reduced a little. I like the shape of water like a giraffe.

Bonjour Jacques,
Qui ne rêve pas de fouler un jour les paysages si ahurissants de ce volcan pas comme les autres, le Dallol! Mais je crois qu'il se mérite, entre fournaise et longs trajets dans des zones parfois soumises à conflit, vous n'êtes qu'on petit nombre à avoir marcher sur la Lune!
