Photographer’s Note
Driving back to Adis Abeba from Harar we stumbled upon these Afar kids who were hereding a very large troup of camels to who knows where.
I had never seen so many camels together in my life.
It is a common sight in Ethiopia to see children taking care of the animals. As a matter of fact, it seems that kids take care of the animals while parents take care of the fields, although in this case the afars are nomadic.

Again you did great job bringing us a magnificent life scene.
Colours and contrast are very good, and framing impressively good.

Hello Daniel,
belle photo, très beaux tons bruns.
La caravane est impressionnante, un chameau semble content d'avoir trouvé un peu de verdure.

Again, just great. This one is so sharp, and it's a great scene. The ground surrounding looks volcanic.

Hi Daniel,
Fantastic picture! It shows a lot of this place. The landscape seems to be very nice. The composition placing the 2 kids on the right and showing all the camels is very well done.

Hola Daniel.
Bonito el hecho de sacar los camellos justo al lado de la carretera.
Todos cuando pensamos en camellos lo hacemos en el desierto evidentemente.
ME gusta la idea.
Un saludo, Oscar

I can see why you are interested in a book. Its actually a good idea as your Ethiopia photos are really good Daniel. When you have one made, I would print up a couple dozen extra copies and pitch the idea to someone to get it published. The shots are strong Daniel, really strong. This one is beautoful. The road is a good element in here, showing the new age of trasnportation, yet at the same time it is so empty, and the old ay dominates. I think this says something about the way Africa clings to its traditions and past in so many ways.

Hi Daniel,
It's a big herd, I wonder if their family is rich, relatively speaking. Good colours and contrast. Panorama works well. Scenes like that make nice memories.

Very interesting shot as all your images from this less visited location. The number of camels is indeed amazing. Good shot.

hi daniel,
j'aime bien les teintes si particulieres a l'Ethiopie, c'est le quotidien de ces nomades de suivre leur troupeau.
