I had 9 hours in Ethiopia from midnight to 9 am. I got 3 hours of sleep and spent the rest trying to see the city. As this was my first meeting with Africa I wasn't sure how safe it would be to bring my camera on the street, so this one is taken from my hotel room in the morning.
I must admit I didn't like this city very much. Addis Ababa not only seemed very unorganized, it was also very busy. I cannot forget the funny blue and white taxis that dominated the traffic though!
On the way home from southern Africa I stayed one night in the same hotel and got to walk to that beautiful mosque in the background during the evening. I was not allowed to enter, but I found some kids who wanted to play football instead!

Quite interesting to see all those details from a place I've never been before and so distant from me!
Attractive urban & architecture picture!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, chosen pov and composition really pleased me!
TFS - congrats,

Hello Fredrik ,
i'm not sure that the houses in the Fg are good ones , but their roofs provide a fine effect , as aFG for the very different modern buildings in the BG .
Well done .

This is an interesting mixture of architectural styles. The tin roofed shacks in the foreground are a stark contrast to the multi story construction in the BG. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness and detail.

Your foreground is likely to be slum area and high rise building in background. It is very interesting and sharp difference of city life at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. Good composition and framing. Well color contrast and light.
best of all and thanks.
