Addis offered a lot of interesting impressions, much more than i expected actually. Mercato market was perhaps the most colorful experience during my visit.
It is said to be the largest open air market in Africa and obviously a place that is easy to get lost in. Anyway, bring your camera if you visit this market but beware of pickpockets, and a lot of patience. Many people try to convince you to buy things you probably don`t need. Sheep and goats e.g :D

Beware of pickpockets, this is not alone in Africa, but also here in all Belgian cities, but a little bit attention is excellent.
A nice subject with the goats in foreground.
Your picture is very well taken with a high quality.
Sharpness and color is perfect and natural.

Detta ser ju inte direkt ut som man väntar sig en marknad i en stor huvudstad, men det är ju det annorlunda som gör som gör det så spännande att komma ut i världen. Scenen är fint fångad med bra ljus och god balans och med en klar antydan om miljön. Ficktjuvar och smårånare har jag stött på många under årens lopp, men efterhand har jag väl lärt mig någorlunda att se mig för.

Hello Boa,

An interesting insight into the nature of an Ethiopian market. Although the dress may have changed, the goods (goats) are what has been bought and sold for hundreds of years. Your exposure is sharp with a natural movement across the frame from f/g left to b/g right.

Pickpockets are a problem in most crowded places. We were given explicit warnings when we went to Italy and when we went to Barcelona.

Detta är en fint fångad bild ur det dagliga livet. Jag ser en tydlig diagonal i kompositionen här. Taxten är riktigt intressant också, jag förmodar att det inte var någon här som ville sälja grisen i säcken till dig.

Very exotic, indeed, to find these animals in the middle of the street. Good depiction of a different everyday scene. Exotic for us, common for them. We must be very exotic for many people. Good job, congratulations!

hello boa,
nice this snapshot from the daily life in the Capital of Ethiopia with everything to passing by with so relaxing ways.I like the scenery with the men and hte animals so near them to sleep carefree.

A very beautiful clear and sharp shot of this market scene.
You will probably have seen a lot of articles that aren't sold on European markets. Yet both guys are dressed like young people in European cities.
Was anyone able to convince you to buy a sheep ?

Ils sont partout les pickpockets, même chez nous il faut faire attention, belle scéne de vie du marché en plein air, j'aime tout ces moutons qui semble si adorable ( j'aime mieux pas penser ou il finirons, je ne mange pas de moutons)

It's a very good and authentic daily scene of a not so touristic place. But it seems Planet Hollywood is famous in Adis Abeba also:)!
I like the two men in background, taking care of the sheep, but so concentrated on something else they didn't even notice you!

Stora reporter foto med Ethiopian metropol. Fotot taget i en storstad, och det ser ut som gjort i landet. Två unga herdar och en liten flock vila. får. Sammansättning jag verkligen gillar.
