Early prayer with the Ark of Covenant Photo

Photographer’s Note

Once a year a copy of the ark of the covenant leaves on a prossession to a sacred place beside a very old fig tree. Ethiopians vigorously believe in and claim with conviction to house in Axum (apparently the custodians do not live long after being given the task to look after it, which if true is not surprisingly given its frightening biblical description). I followed the procession one early morning and could not resist taking this picture before dawn while while robed worshipers gathered around the ark for prayers.

Me alegra saber que no soy el unico peruano que ha ido a Etiopia.
Esta foto es magnifica, la luminosidad, la exosicion y la manera en la que has incluido a todos los peregrinos.
Muy linda
Lo unico que podrias postear una foto un poco mas grande.
