Taken from a hot-air ballon.
Behind me, there's Valley of the Kings and Deir el-Bahri that I showed you before. We are in the west bank of the river Nile, Luxor. A deserted and dry landscape is warmed by the first sun rays of the day and few ballons are reaching the ground after an hour drifting over the Necropolis, which afforded awesome views of the temples, villages and mountains.
Cruising so low, I was wondering if there was a chance of landing in someone's terrace...We could smell the cooking fires and almost overhear some daily life conversations below, in a eerie silence puntuacted by the roar of the ballon's gas-burners.
With envy, I always have seen these beautiful ballons from a distance in every country I visited. But for the first time, I had the chance of offering me a good deal and I finally tasted this magnificent experience.

Hi Ricardo,
Waow ! Really cool !!! It's funny how this man doesn't mind about the balloons ! It might be a great experience to have a flight above Egypt !
Marion

I can see you are becoming addicted to TE again!! ;D Like you I had my first taste of ballooning this year, in the Serengeti, and it is an unforgetable experience. The shadows of the two balloons one on top of the other makes a unique composition. The timing was good so the man isn't under the shadow. Well done
Kath

Hi Ricardo
the shades of the ballons are beautifull on the color of the desert.
Impressive shot
Bertrand

Hi Ricardo.

I love this photo and especially how the warm light and the shadow of the ballon fills the photo.

Thanks for sharing.

Paulo

ola ricardo

i like it. the vastness of the desert interrupted by your baloons' shadows and the lone walker. nice indeed. not so sure about the frame though. the scene is almost begging for a vertical crop. hmm :)

warm regards,
kristaps

Buen trabajo.
Un abrazo,
Josep

Hi Ricardo, wow, it is fantastic! Were you brave enough to go with hot air balloon? I imagine it was magnificent Nice silhouette of the lonely man Wonderful colours.

Warm regards

Malgorzata

Bravo, Ricardo. This photo is wonderful and perfect. Oh,if I like it! Difficult to explain. But,..I try. The big shadow of the ballon can be the divine shadow. Impending. A the man, just one man, in his solitude, is so...oh, SO representative. (And if they are two the thing is the same). The symbol of our umanity. Well done, Ricardo,
Anna Paola

Ola Ricardo
I think the main subject is the shadows here, and with the walking man they make for a nice oompo in this early morning light giving already warm colors.... I like the texture of the FG ravine....
Greetings

Olà Ricardo
This year, we had the opportunity to go in a hot-air balloon(in Myanmar) but we had somehow to book in advance and so we did not do it!
Here the big shadows are really eye-catching and well positioned, allowing to see a lonely walking man and also houses in the distance.

Ricardo,

Balloon rides seem to have spread to a lot of famous tourist spots around the world. Fine photo with the shadows of the two balloons amidst desolation of the desert. The man is very well placed just beyond the shadow. Good work my friend!
Best Regards

Hi Ricardo,
unusual POV, fine glance on the desert, interesting view with the shadows of ballons. Unusual travel. Good work.

Hi Ricardo. Wonderful capture. The early morning light has added a warm colouring to the scene and the shadow adds its presence also. Nicely captured and thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.

Hi Ricardo,
A splendid advertising photo image for a hot-air ballon.
What I like is the man doesn't look at any ballon and keep on walking...
Regards,
Zeynep

Hola Ricardo.
Excellent shot captured from the balloon, the view of the shadow with the presence of the man in the middle of the desert really produces a superb shot captured from a high POV. Very good colors and sharpness. Looks like you really enjoyed your trip to this wonderful place.
Well done.
Best regards.

Ola Ricardo,
nice shot with the shadows of the hot air balloons to shaped on the ground. The walking man looks so tiny in combination with the shadows.I like the vivid colors and the light.Well done.

Hello Ricardo,

I have never tried but I can imagine a balloon like this is a great platform for photography!
The colour of and somewhat hostile environment of the desert is dominating the frame, decorated by the balloon shadows...
And I don't think the shadows here is caused by the balloon you're in..!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Oi amigo ,
