Bubbling desert Photo

Photographer’s Note

Last one from the desert. To the left background, a few km far, it's located the white desert I showed you before. This is still the white desert region, but they call it the Old Desert, because the monoliths have this appearance of being very old. It's amazing to see these changes of landscape while driving through the desert. I always thought that desert means lots of sand and that was all. But I was wrong...

Do you want to try to guess the SCALE again? May be some of you will prefer the WS with the Jeep and I was a bit hesitating, but ended up on choosing this one for main post.

Isto é só surpresas! Depois de um deserto branco, agora este. Afinal também há uma zona em Marte chamada Egipto? Até o céu nesta foto não parece do nosso planeta.
Magnífica foto. A do WS também é boa para ver o tamanho destas coisas, mas depois de a ver e ficar esclarecido, prefiro esta.

You are showing me lots of things I didn't know before; these desert landscapes are amazing. I think you made exactly the right choice in which way round you posted this and the WS, as I think the jeep does spoil the image as a scene, but it's great to have it in the WS for scale reference. These "bubbles" are actually smaller than I first supposed. (bubbles or carbuncles? ;D)

You show another fascinating landscape from the desert. All those monoliths look great and create a nice repetition too. I prefer this version, although the WS-photo is also nice to see to get an idea of the scale, like you say. Thanks for sharing!

as duas fotos são muito boas, a do WS mostra o tamanho das "bolhas" e quebra o padrão, aqui temos uma foto mais natural e abstrata. Gosto muito de desertos e regiões áridas, acho que é assim porque nasci num lugar verdejante. O deserto é ao mesmo tempo tão simples e complicado, formas e luz são sempre interessantes. Lindo trabalho

Never heard of this place, let alone see any picture! I might be one of the few who liked the WS...but for the plentyful of FG there...if you cropped the FG upto the jeep, IMO, it would have been a better picture. But this is amazing really...what are they called? i have to find out, how these wierd formations are formed. Thanks for sharing with us this unknown, my friend

I can really see on your pictures how beautiful and how special the Egyptian landscape is. Again a fantastic new shot, also the Workshop image, that shows a good comparison of the sizes. lo que vemos en tu foto es un paisaje realmente inédito y espectacular, parece una foto de la sonda Mars Surveyor....
Tiene un fuerte grafismo y unos tonos que la luz y las sombras se encargan de aumentar, en una composición equilibrada y con un atractivo muy especial.
Buen trabajo, tus fotos nos muestran el Egipto menos conocido, y ese es el espíritu TE.

Mas mesmo assim ainda há montes bem mais altos do que aqueles que mostras. Tu estavas num local bastante (???) alto para poder tirar a foto do jeep.
É fantástico ver e saber que existem tantas variedades de "deserto". Aqui na Austrália, aquilo a que eles chamam deserto é essencialmente um chão de pedras grossas. Esitem também dunas estreitas e compridas, e paralelas umas às outras.
A foto está excelente, com uma perspectiva impressionante. Outra coisa interessante é ver a cor do pouco céu que nos mostras. Quase se confunde com a cor do terreno.

O título está muito bem escolhido, dá mesmo a impressão de serem bolhas numa lama de areia, sendo as partes esbranquiçadas espuma. O efeito visual é fantástico.
Por acaso não tenho nada a ideia de que o deserto é areia e mais areia, pois só vi dunas em três ou quatro sítios, mas nunca tinha visto uma paisagem como esta nem sequer em fotografias.

Image étrange que peut délivrer le désert avec ces sortes de tumulus sortis de terre, semblables à des trous de taupe ! Quand l'on voit la jeep à travers le désert, l'on mesure l'importance de ces protubérances.

You did excellent the addition of the WS, indeed we can see the jeep and the scale between the two different matters, good idea.
A desert with almost a game middle of the dessert with the heaps, a dessert have normally a lot sand, but this was my unknown.

Wow. with the jeep in the WS shows how big these rocks are. They are indeed bigger than the vehicle. I always amazed with the landscape changes and this one truly amazes me.

Sim, a escala é fundamental aqui. Aqui na principal, a visão parecia infinita, que se estendia por KMs... Vendo o jipe já não parece tão vasto, mas ainda assim é uma visão fabulosa. Deixa-me mesmo com vontade de visitar o deserto.

Holes of moles would be said as we can see them in the parks of Versailles after the days of rain !!! Landscape really astonishing and quite interesting for the amateurs of geology. Beautiful catch of sight which gives a good impression of depth. The natural colors and the lights are very pleasant.

had the green vegetation been around, this would have been another cholocate hills in the offing! amazing nature's wonder this is. i wonder if termites live in such a place like this becoz i remember from my boyhood termite "houses" look like these....:-). this must be a vast one as what i conclude from this marvelous presentaion!
