Photographer's Note
Maybe you know Abdullah. He's a bedouin off Nuweiba who since years talks and plays with a dolphin. he's become an attraction. So I was at Abdullah's, talked to him, killed time, drank tea and smoked cigarettes, but no dolphin.
There's a strong feeling when you visit Egypt that everything is to start but nothing will ever happen. That's certainly why egyptian rely in fate and that tomorrow might be in a century.
You soon get fascinated with emptyness and not worried that nothing happens. I was ready to click on dust when I saw the apparition in my viewfinder of this swift little girl, she said " give me one pound, egyptian" while she was pointing her finger to let me know it was one, not two or three...
You know, in Egypt, nothing's important, everything goes blurry after a while, should be the sun, should be the emptyness, that little girl went blurry too.

Nice shot, Luko. I like the view more than the little girl. I think she's just a bit too blurry (this coming from the blurry guy) to be of much interest here. Also, her finger seems to be abnormaly long. :-) Nice shot, nonetheless.

despite the story, the blurriness of the girl does not work for me. The rest of the scene is completely dominated by her, it's almost hard to find the other stuff cause of the beggar...

So much true. You just should have added that Nuweiba is not simply Egypt, but the Sinai peninsula. One pound, yes.
Next time there - cross the border in Taba and drop in to TA!

Hello Luko
you felt empty in Egypt? this is weird , I think you'd better change your touristic agency!!
There are thousands of beautiful things in Egypt to photograph rather than beggers.
