Big Cave in hite Desert, a photo from New Valley, Inland

Photographer's Note

One of the 20 Caves in White desert.
In the last 23 years I spent more than 4 years in that area and I discoverd a lot of very interessting things like that huge cave. It is about 10 meters high and 20 meters large.
The white is chalk.

For the phote I didn't use filters, just put f/22, and the camera does the rest.

Really, I will have to go in the white desert. It seems to be an incredible place.

I like the sun in the frame, coming from the hole of the cave. The exposure is perfect, and all the details of the rock are visible.
The White Desert is very spectacular.

Quelle belle image que celle-ci. Les couleurs de cette roche sont splendides. Ca contraste très bien avec le bleu du ciel. Quand au soleil, il forme une étoile parfaite. Tous mes compliments!

Spectacular view, the image is one of those bigger than live, you have done a great job managing the light here... to the untrained photographer it would have been very easy to overexpose.

It's beautifully composed, Dionys, really giving me the feel that I'm actually there looking through the tunnel. You brought out detail nicely throughout. Would I be correct to guess, though, that the sun is pasted in from another shot? (One does not find such deep blue right next to the sun.) If so, it's nice artistically, but you're losing something in terms of depicting the wonders of the natural world. If the sun is not pasted in, well then I guess you're bringing out sky color that I wouldn't have thought possible. Regards, Ken.
