Photographer’s Note

This photograph was taken at Luxor Temple in Egypt. Luxor was at one time the capital of ancient Egypt (it was then called Thebes). The statue is of the pharaoh Ramses II. The statue is about 30 feet high and is beautifully carved. Ramses II was probably the most prolific builder of all the pharaohs of ancient Egypt and all tell the story of how great a man he was!. Ramses II ruled from 1290 – 1224BC so this statue is over 3000 years old. Egypt is a photographers dream with thousands of superb subjects to photograph. I will post some of the ones I took on holiday and just hope that I can do them justice.
I used a polarising filter for this photo.
