Photographer’s Note
During a night dive in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, I found this guy sleeping with his face behind this wonderful soft corals.
"BLUEBARRED PARROTFISH, 'Scarus ghobban', commom in coral reefs, seagrass beds and weedy areas, also deeper offshore, penetrating silty environments more readily than other parrotfishes". (Red Sea Reef Guide, Helmut Debelius).
Its a male. Parrotfishes use to sleep in the rocks or between the corals. Sometimes we see some inside their cocoons.
Regards,
Zeca

Hi Jose.
Incredible colors for this sleeping guy... The sharpness is amazing and the level of details available in this shot is amazing. Just as if water was perfectly transparent (it must be the case in this place). Furthermore, you've manage to compose the shot a great way, by combining the fish and the bryozoair animal.
Thanks for sharing!

Excellent portrait of the fish, Jose, the colours are simply fantastic against this black background. As good as can be.

After Steve Irwin, be safe Jose. But you bring some good pictures from the unknown world.

Another super underwater shot from you.
Again the sharpness is very good. I like that red coral, it seems as if it is on fire, which gives a nice effect on this shot.
Also like the very blue colours of this parrotfish, well detailed.
Would have been just that bit nicer if it's whole eye was clearly visible, but okay..things like that are difficult underwater I think...isn't it ?
Thanks for sharing!
