Photographer's Note
Heiroglyphics - possibly the oldest writing in human history, or at least contempory with it, nobody knows for sure. Probably the oldest alphabet..
Hieroglyphics can be read right to left, left to right, or top to bottom. Clever...its a shame that didnt catch on.
I took this in the main temple at Abu Simbel without a tripod.

I love this one. I love the way you captured the original colors.
Did you take this with a flash or did you just use the existing light? I'm always curious, with cramped places like this. Will the reflection off the flash spoil it...

Hi David, great balance between the lighted areas and the fading into the dark shadows here, all the while keeping the focus on the key element, the heiroglyphics themselves.

Very good photo David! It seems that the soon we will see the Indiana Jones interpreting the hieróglifos. The yellow light also is very pleasant. The blackout in the above part gives a touch of "revelation" to the hieróglifos.

Not easy to shot inside the Ramses II temple, my dear David. It's simply forbidden. But I also do it just after you !!!!!! Well done.
