Chasses par le barrage Photo

Photographer’s Note

Vers Assouan nous voguons et apercevons un village nubien. Ce peuple a subi depuis le temps des pharaons beaucoup de brimades et le temple d'Abou Simbel a été construit par Ramses II pour leur signifier qu'il était leur maître. La dernière épreuve fut infligée à ce peuple par la construction du barrage Nasser qui les a chassés de leurs terres. Aujourd'hui un projet colossal voit le jour pour irriguer de nouvelles terres et réimplanter cette population. Avec la photo on est sur le barrage et non sur la mer.

I like the three contrast parts in these picture, above the steel blue sky formidable,
middle the slope with sand and with few houses, the foreground the sea with small waves, excellent composition.

Hi Jacques,
A well composed shot with good colour, clarity and contrast. I like the curling wave in the foreground, which really gives a sense of dynamism to the photo. The land and buildings are neatly wedged between the deep blue of the water and the sky. Very well captured, Jacques.

Bonjour Jacques,
Une lumière et des couleurs mangnifiques pour nous montrer ce village nubien et une note très intéressante pour l'accompagner. Le seul petit reproche que je pourrais faire c'est que je trouve le cadrage trop centré. Je pense qu'il aurait fallu décalé vers le haut ou le bas afin que l'eau et le ciel n'occupent pas la même surface de l'image.

A beautiful blue cast captured in this shot. The effect of the waves in the sea are dramatic and give good impact close to the lens. The shoreline is well caught and the sky compliments well.

je l'avais loupé hier celle-ci ! beau paysage avec une jolie lumière. Le ciel est magnifique et la bande de terre coupe bien ta compo en 3 bandes.

Hi Jacques! The overall blue colors of the sky and the waters are just relaxing! Very fine lighting and weather when you shot this! The sharpness and colors are also excellent! This view over the river with that town built against the sand hills over there is very nice. The low POV is very good and the approaching wave is a nice detail. Good work!
