There's historic town of Shali, made of sand, in the heart of modern Siwa. All houses are destroyed and abandoned, but this old, small mosque is still in use.

beautiful blue sky in this photo ... i would have taken it in landscape, rather than portrait, to get more of that brilliant blue sky into the shot. dividing the wide shot between blue sky and white buildings could have created a really nice effect.

it's a nice contrast between the buildings and the sky too, touched off by the man walking ... good shot.
