Photographer’s Note
Luxor Temple was hidden under sand and new buildings till 1885. In this year archeological works were started: sand was removed and houses were destroyed. Only old mosque servived - citizens of Al Uqsur did not allow to destroy their temple. That's why nowadays we can see newer, Muslim temple just over the another, ancient one.
This picture was made with canon eos 500n, fuji superia 100; scanned from the print and a little bit cropped.
