[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We were on a little motorboat cruising on the Nile towards a small Nubian village, when I spotted this old little boat. There weren't any houses around, just nature. I didn't spot any people in the surroundings either, so that's why I chose this title. I slightly cropped the photo on the left side to remove a disturbing edge of a rock (too small to be an improvement to the picture) and cut off a bit of the water at the bottom to get everything in proportion a bit better. I particularly liked the reflection in the water.

Hi, motive of this photo is good, but in my opinion you shouldn't crop it as you said because boat has a central place in pictre. I think it should look better if shot was taken from different angle (different than almost 90 degree to the boat) and use more this calm water as a mirror. Thats all, colors are fine. Regards Piotr

Hi Gerd,
I agree with the previous feedback, but I like here the good light that helps producing fine colors and the reflection.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Gerd,
Welcome on TE and certainly as Belgian, I like indeed as well you the splendid reflections in water, it's not the great picture but absolutely not bad, the sharpness and clarity are great.
Tanks for visit and sharing it.
Best regards,
John
Bent U een Vlaming Gerd?

The refelction in the water is great and the boat and the reflection are so very sharp.

The water is so very crystaline. I am not too certain if i like the dry vegetation in the background but the boat is great.
Welcome to TE and thank you for checking my photo.

Hi Gerd

I like the color symmetry here, between the boat, & the small patch of blue sky reflected in the bottom right corner. Superb color & lighting. Well done!

Hi, I like vivid colours of the boat in grey background and also the reflection is beautiful.
