TWO BIG, two small and two flying Photo

Photographer’s Note

It was early in the morning, we were going to the Valey of the Kings, but first we stopped to see this two big figures.
The "Colossus of Memmon". They are the rest of a big temple, can you imagine how it could be?. Its height is nearly 17 meters, both are looking at the east side, to see every day how the sun rises, and represent the pharaoh Amenhotep III.

I like the two people looking at the statues, so you can see better the dimensions of the two Memmon Colossus. There you can go with balloons like the ones on the photo, I liked to catch them in the shot. I hope you like it too.

Era de matinada, molt d'hora, anavem a la Vall dels Reis, i primer ens vam aturar per veure aquestes dues grans figures.
Els "Colossus de Memmon". Son la resta d'un temple molt gran, us podeu imaginar com podia arribar a esser?. La seva altura és de gairebé 17 metres, i els dos estan mirant cap a l'Est, per veure cada dia com surt el sol, i representen al faraó Amenofis III.
M'agrada que hi hagi les dos persones que estan mirant a les estatues, així podeu veure millor les dimensions dels dos "Colossus de Memmon". Alli es pot pujar en globus com els que hi ha a la foto, em va agradar atrapar-los i que hi sortíssin. Espero que us agradi.

Very good. The people gives dimension to the photo. And baloons gives some different atmosphere

¿De qué me suena a mí esto de los colosos, con los globos volando? ¡¡¡Uhmmmm!!! De verdad que yo he debido vivir un momento parecido en ésta o en otra vida. Muy bonita, me trae buenos recuerdos (ese día pillé una estupenda insolación). Cuídate y sigue poniendo fotos bonitas aquí. (Como ves hoy tengo un día más vitalista que crítico)

The warm lighting on the statues creates a nice atmosphere. And the ancient statues are a nice contrast with the up to date balloons :). Nice one

La présence humaine donne une évaluation sur l'échelle des colosses.

Very nice photo Jaume, the morning light projecting on the colossi and the distant cliffs is superb. the composition is nice but I wish that you shold have include even the whole base of the left colossus. I like the inclusion of the air balloons it enriches the composition and the two persons show the grand scale of these monuments. Well captured!

quite clever Jaume. Having two ballons in the picture is probably unusual. I only went there twice but never had a chance to have even one poor single balloon that could be included. so together with the early morning is quite nice, this makes a quite nice picture. I wish the ballon in the center were more to the right and upper. Would have improved the balance of the shot. But these ballons do not quite go where you want them to, do they?;)

La lumière qui éclaire ces colosses est très douce. J'aime aussi les deux ballons dans le ciel, qui complètent agréablement la composition. Une belle image, bravo!

Jaume, Muy bonita composicion. Tal vez podrias usar filtros para calibrar mejor los colores, ya que el cielo y las montanas de atras estan un poquito claras. Un saludo.

Hi Jaume - the light here is fantastic, and the baloons make it look like a clash of the centuries. It looks like a 19th century photo with 21st century image quality.
