Photographer’s Note
There are many images of the great pyramids, but I captured this one during a brief sandstorm.
In the foreground is the great pyramid of Khafre which was 143.5 m high and built in the 26th century BC. The pyramid in the background is the great pyramid of Khufu and was the tallest of the pyramids at 146.6 m high. It was constructed around 2560 BC.

Hello,
The sand storm provides a good ambiance and originality to this shot although already photographied a lot.
I like the color contrast with the yellow on the bottom and the blue of the sky.
I only find the overall rendering a bit flat. It is very easy to adjust with the 'Level' tool. I did a WS in this way.
Yves.

Hi Chris
quite impressive! Better shelter the camera and lens in the bag asap !!
Thanks to Yves for the contrast and really too bad that you have no other element, man, camel ... whatever in the FG
best to you

Hello Chris ,
Great capture , indeed ! Without the storm , it is only one more picture of the pyramid , although the POV and framing are excellent . But with it , its fantastic .
congratulations

Hello Chris!
Another great moment in this one! The sandstorm on a sunny day added a lot of interest to this photograph with a sort of surreal mood that truly pleases me!
TFS - congratulations!

Ciao Chris,
beautiful image, I like a lot the effect created by the sandstorm, it seems a photographic filter, excellent the sky.
certainly in these situations it is dangerous to change lens at the camera:):)
good job

When photographing popular and iconic tourist spots we all hope for something a little different and you were rewarded with a sand-storm for some atmosphere. Your POV is also well chosen so that the three elements (including the 'heap') lead the eye naturally through the image.

hi Chris,
The blowing sand changes the whole feel of this location. You managed the light well although seems slightly underexposed. Good color and clarity. TFS. Gerald

Hi Chris,
great job.
Knowing myself, I would probably hide my camera in the bag but you did a really great job with this sand storm. Fortunately the upper part of the shot is clear so altogether it creates a nice effect.

hello Chris,
You seem to have had a wonderful travel this Spring.
I had a lot of pleasure to look at some of your latest pictures. This one I like a lot, the sandstorm giving a little more mystery to these famous pyramids. I have seen them a couple of years ago and I was very impressed. Beautiful picture indeed. Thanks a lot for your kind comment on my Devil's bridge picture.I'm quite rarely on TE, I don't have enough time to be regulary on both sites.
Un grand merci

Hi Chris,
What a amazing scenery. Misty weather can be very good for photography like in here. It always adds a feeling of mystery and suspense as in the movies. Well done! Thanks for sharing and lets hope the camera is OK after sandstorm;)

Very unusual picture, that renders well the harsh conditions of the desert.
