Photographer’s Note
Well here's my 1st contribution to the newly laid out TE! Initial reactions are mixed - it's always a bit slow to get used to something new, but it most likely is a better design and we'll thank the new layout in the end. I don't get why the titles of photos don't show on the photo gallery pages though...
About the photo: Natures artwork on the sand dunes in Bahariya, Egypt. It's almost like every grain has been delicately put into place to make these patterns, that is, until I go and walk on over it.

Hi Dave,
Very nice shot, good saturated colours and sharps.
Excellent low POV, the patterns are amazing.
Not a criticism but a question, did you consider leveling the sand dune and placing the crest of the dune in the center of the frame with equal fall-off on each side, it might have added to the symmetry of the image, just a thought.
Anyway I think it's a great shot as it is, congratulations.

Hi David,
This is my first look at the New TE as well - some things I like, some things I don't? But to your photography, it is truly a work of art with the long wavy lines penetrating the desert landscape and reaching for the deep blue sky on the horizon. Well chosen perspective and well presented. TFS. Gerald

hi David
I am not much of a music person except as listener but this wave forms seems to be like musical waves reaching out to the far end and touching the blue edge.
A nice feeling of looking at this low angle view. Surprisingly the depth is well done to enable a good perspective.
How life can be so perfect curve and smooth :)
Good work.

Hello David,
The pattern on the sand is almost hypnotizing! Very good perspective to catch the ridges along the sand dune. The contrast of colours is nice here as is the clarity of the composition. I think the sand dune is more interesting than the sky so is good that you included more of it. Thanks David.

Hi David!
I tried this sometimes but less successful.
A great shot with amazing colors and contrast. These lines and curves created by wind look great and the clouds make the compostion perfect.

This looks like something from another planet and I think the pov adds to that feeling. Excellent detail, and the lines really are amazing. It must be an awesome feeling to be there. TFS

Hi David,
Wow, this is tremendous - I would have been tempted to shoot it portrait because I could get more foreground detail that way, but this works out great with the intense blue sky and wispy clouds. Beautiful colors and excellent details - sharpness is near perfect, as well.
Great job!

Hi David!
Wow! This one is very original in that it's a simple concept, yet with stunning results. Really well seen, and very well captured. Also, the curvature, almost makes us think we are on some small planet all made of sand. Great addition to your already wonderful gallery! Nice work! Regards,
Steve

Hello David,
Perhaps the most beautiful and perfect dune pattern image I have seen. the contrast is perfect to show great detail depth. The blue of the sky is a bit intense. It can be tone down a notch. Otherwise, great great shot, minimalist at it best, congrats.

Hi David,
A golden sea of sand with an amazingly blue sky above... It may be quite minimalist and "empty", but we can gaze at it for long. A real beauty!

José
