Photographers Note
Here is an interior picture of the vast Mehmet Ali Mosque which overlooks Cairo from the citadel. Always crowded with locals and tourists. There is a possibility to use a tripod if one buys a special ticket. Of course a sunny day will cause some exploding light spots here and there. I tried to take the less of these lights when choosing an angle.
The mosque itself built during the first part of the 19th century has the looks of the ottoman mosques, although far for equaling them but nevertheless I would suggest a visit to the citadel and the monuments around.

Merhaba Sevgili Hocam;

Bonjour, mon ami Izzet,

Bonjour Izzet. Informative photo. It's not so often I had the importunity to visit a mosque. And since I don't carry a tripod when traveling, well it's just not the type of subject I shoot. I understand the difficulty of choosing your point of view. Good idea to frame the subject with the column and the wall but, in my humble opinion, your photo would have been esthetically better if it had shown a little less of that wall on the left and a little more of the left side of the room. And without the woman in the foreground, the person sitting against the wall and the guy standing far at left. [I know it's not a Hollywood stage and one cannot do much about it, except being patient which is not always possible.]
I noticed that I have the same zoom. I bought it 2-3 months ago but haven't used it much yet. I must say that I'm a little disappointed and wonder if the one that I got is somewhat below average. Stupid, but don't know if I should complaint or not.
Bye. Claude.

Hi Izzet. Looking at your recent output, it seems you are back to full speed at TE :-)
Lovely shot of this very beautiful and ornate interior. Good use of the pillars on both side to have a natural frame, that opens up deeply into the colorful and well-exposed inner space of the Mosque. Good graphical impact resulting from the arrangement of the lamps and windows. Apt use of the ultra-wide lens.

An impressive interior shot of the Mehmet Ali Mosque, with well managed lighting, & good sharpness. Excellent color, & the people in prayer add scale & context. Tfs!

This mosque looks impressive to me even though it is not in Turkey.
Excellent capture of the interior from a vantage point behind the columns. Congratulation.

Merhaba Izzet.
This is a masterpiece. I love how you managed the light (well, of course, I think a tripod is always useful in these situations).
But your whole composition and picture are great. It's not only the light. It's the place, the people,...
Really, thanks for sharing.

Wonderful shot, with a really good sense of space to it. What is interesting is the way you used the horizontal format for the shot instead of the vertical, so there is more concentration on the ground level. Well done!

Salut Izzet
