This is a crocodile fish lying on the bottom at Talata on 12 meters depth. I really love their eyes. It's like they have camouflaged curtains in them. This particularly one let me in really close for the shot. They normally moves away pretty fast otherwise.

Great shot of this crocodile fish. Very sharp and nice colors. You were lucky to be so close, the DOF is excellent, it is like a macro. We can see very well the detail of the eyes. Congratulations.

a very nice photograph peter. you should do a search on david doubilet if your really in love with underwater photography. he's by far the world's best underwater photographer, with over 65 national geographic underwater stories.
have you seen the photograph in which the diver is being circled by a school of barracudas near the surface? the photograph has been taken from belowthe diver. well he's the photographer of the most famous underwater photograph. take care
