Toward Sunset, a photo from New Valley, Inland

Photographer's Note

The last sunset in the desert during my last visit to Egypt. Some hours later the wind will start to blow, bringing sand with it.
At the morning, we will wake up with some centimeters on sand above the sleeping bag.

Another first rate photo of the Sahara, the fine granules of sand filling every rook and cranny among the rugged rock formation. Bravo!

Hello Yves - A different mood in this desert shot and I like it. A solitary figure looking over an inhospitable terrain to the last light on the horizon - a poignant moment somehow. The sky with the wonderfully figured clouds adds the most subtle contrast of colours; very nice. Beautiful subdues image. Warm regards rosemary

Un ciel comme tout photographe en rêve.
Un filtre devant l'objectif pour équilibrer la lumière ? J'ai pas l'impression.
Et le sable, pas trop destructeur pour le matériel?

Un ciel comme ça dans un tel lieu ne peut qu'inciter à la contemplation béate. J'aime les couleurs délicates de l'ensemble.

Un paysage très vaste, ce genre d'immensité qui donne des sensations de liberté, sans oublier l'immensité du ciel bien mis en valeur avec ces altocumulus flocus rougeoyant...

One of the most beautiful sunset out in the desert. The cloud formation is just fantastic. The inclusion of a person in the foreground, the vertical format with lot of sky...perfect.
