Photographer’s Note
This flat sandy part of the western desert offers little possibilities for pictures. Including the road descending into this "sea" I thought could give it some perspective

I think this shot is great. It really illustrates the bleakness of the land scape. I like how you have framed it and how the road disappears into the sand. The color contrast of the blue sky and the yellow sand is great too.
Well done, thanks for sharing :)

Strange landscape, Marc
Looks like the road leads into emptiness. Lost into a wide open space.
Really nice image.

Hi Marc,
This reminds me a little of Spilliaert's drawings and his interest in diagonals and perspectives, also the colours... I like this shot, it is like a call to travel !

Cath.

This photo has something which catches my eyes, but on the other hand something is missing here to make this shot perfect :)

Great perspective. As I have been to the desert myself I can feel the immense of the place. Great job

had to study this one, but I like it.
the road dropping off under the sky makes it interesting.
I posted a workshop.

Don't know if you need any more kudos on this one, Marc, but it's absolutely spectacular. Almost an abstract painting, but not quite - and that is the world of difference.

Bonjour Marc,

J'aime beaucoup.
Daniel.

Marc,
This is another very nice shot, quite surreal and dreamlike with the road appearing to end in emptiness, suspended above the enormity of the desert. The guard rail provides a nice line of perspective, mirrored by the second road or track above it.
The only small issue I have is the central placement of the horizon which to me makes the composition feel very slightly top-heavy. But I understand that the whispy clouds are also an important element of the picture and I can't see any obvious way of framing it differently while including them. And of course you had the advantage of being there :)

John
