Photographer’s Note
A sand dune in the Great Sand Sea near Siwa. The funny texture is caused by the sand moving. Desaturated, a bit of shadow/highlight, enhanced contrast plus blacks and whites.

Hello Nana
Indeed a very interesting composition..dual tones..the textures and layers..seems so abstract..the sea is the BG right ?
Tell us how you managed this
Great org shot !

Hi Nana,
this is a fine, almost abstract composition. I love the textured, white sand set against the dark background. I might have just cropped the top slightly to have the sand streaming from the top left corner of the image but it doesn't detract from it being a superb capture and well seen.

Hi Nana,
...you're just great at this kind of minimalistic, and I would say, emotional images of the wonders of nature. To desaturate sand...beautiful! Really great work and I understand that you forget to note down how you did certain things:-)
Thank you
Take care
Michèle
