Photographer’s Note

The are more than 300 vessels plying the waters of the Nile and only a dozen or so temples on the tourist trail between Luxor and Aswan.

It goes without saying, therefore, that each of the sites will be extremely popular, and this leads to tens of boats mooring at each one you pass.

Here, at Kom Ombo, the cruisers were parked up to five deep at some points.
