Photographer’s Note

We are now in Aswan, at the park near the Nubian Museum. Before boarding the minibus I wanted to take a look at the park where a group of colorfully dressed turbaned girls were chatting and see whether I could take a group picture which would also show some Aswan landscape in the background. But my initial wish developed differently when I spotted the young Egyptian beauty with big green eyes, not a common feature in this part of the world. With a big smile I asked her a permission which to my BIG surprise was granted after a few loud laughs in the group. Then I had to find a place so that my portrait would be a bit special, and placed here behind this wooden fence inside the triangle. I also had a problem with the direct sunlight which was quite harsh at around midday. I boosted my ISO for more sharpness.

Merhaba İzzzet Bey, tam fotoğrafa bakıp yorum yazacağım sırada ilk yorumcunun da aynen benim düşündüklerimi yazdığını gördüm. Gerçekten de başörtüsünün rengi gözlerinin rengiyle aynı. Çekimi dar alanda yapmış olmanız fotoğrafa esrarengiz bir hava da katmış sanki. Elinize sağlık.

Que ce soient chez une femme ou chez un hommes ces "yeux d'émeraude", qui sont rares, mais que l’ont rencontre parfois me subjuguent.
Ceux ci sont vraiment d'une beauté exceptionnelle.

Not only have you captured her beauty, but also her proud spirit.Looking at this image one would not suspect that the light gave you problems since the light management is beyond reproach. Very nice minimal photo, well framed. Are blue eyes customary in that part of the world?

Her left cheek is a bit overexposed; a little brush work could fix that.
