Photographer’s Note
Pic taken at sunrise in the first room of the main Abu Simbel temple. Very strong noise (800 iso) removed with Neat Image 4. Red tint reduced too.

Jean Marc - I am at a loss where to begin. First did you use a tripod? If not, image stablization is the first consideration under these conditions. The most important thing to consider though is your exposure and what to meter on. Here I would have metered on the highlite (sun off of back wall) to ensure that the highlites do not loose detail. The loss of detail on the back wall is what is making this image fail. I know it is rather dark inside the temple but with digital imagery there is some detail in the shadows that can be brought out in post processing if the highlite detail is maintained. A tripod, exposing for the highlite, and then fill light whether it be flash, temple lights, or even a flash light could have saved this image.
I am sure there are rules about tripods in the temple but a ledge to rest the camera on would have also worked.
Just my opinion - take it for what's its worth.
Keep trying and continue to post.
