Not a very common POV from this place. Like your framing here with the triangle of the blue sky, contrasting with the sandstone colour. The colossal statue looks majestic!

I like the inclusion of the bright sky to have a pleasant cromatic contrast

Hello David, it is a very famous place, already seen many times, but still your picture has something special. Maybe the diagonal cut, the contrast between the brown and the blue, the good light which shows the face of Ramses.
A very good and eye catching picture anyway

Wow, you have made him look... Well, so colossal!

Beautiful, postcard-like photograph, excellent light and perfect composition. The colors are wonderful. I can feel myself standing on the sand there looking up as you were when you shot this. I can almost feel that dry desert heat building with the rising of the sun.

I wish I would have had the opportunity to visit this place when I spent over 3 months within striking distance of many sites in Egypt. I seldom got further than downtown Hurghada, unfortunately.

Anyway, tremendous shot!

The pyramids, I still dream of visiting them, but I never managed. It's a pity because I'm really interested in history, but there is work and instead of being based in Europe - what would be nearer to Egypt - I'm based in Asia since 1982. Nevermind, I really like your shot, excellent composition with Ramses on the right side and opposite you have the deep blue sky with the clouds. Great sharpness, DOF and execution. Well done

Good warm cold colour contrasts, between the yellow red tinted rock, & the blue sky. Excellent framing, sharpness & pov. A place I'd love to go, one day. Tfs!
