[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
The mosques of Cairo are four hundred or so, and almost all are interesting. Two hundred and fifty of them have minarets, others have domes. Fifty mosques at least are remarkable for the richness of their architecture. The three most important are: Tulun mosque, the Sultan Hassan, and that of Al-Azhar.
A more recent mosque, built by-Mehemet Ali, dominates the citadel, and therefore the whole city. By far, its two slender minarets and high are the happiest. From nearby, the disillusionment comes quickly. Despite the wealth of alabaster employee, this construction has no originality and is a copy of a vulgar edifice of Istanbul, which détonne amid the ramparts brash Saladin.

Olá Georges,

Ces petites maisons constituent un véritable puzzle très agréable à contempler.Bon travail pour capturer cette image.

Félicitations
Filipe

Bonsoir Georges,

Comment ne pas songer à la photo de la médina de Fez que tu as postée il y a peu. Ici aussi une belle composition qui nous montre cet assemblage de cubes. Deux plus cependant par rapport à ta photo de Fez: celle-ci me semble plus nette et les mosquées apportent une variété dans la géométrie. Très bon travail;
Amicalement,
Roger

Salut Georges,
Roger a raison, on pense à ton travail à FEZ.
J'aime bien cette vue sur tous ces toits serrés les uns contre les autres avec le linge qui sèche ici ou là. A nouveau une très bonne prise.
Amicalement,
Fabrice

Georges: superb DOF here gives this a mosaic feel. Fine work. regards, c

Hi Georges,

You caught spectacularly busy city texture build by mud. Excellent POV while ending a huge mosque and its highest minarets at top of hill. Very interesting architecture there. I like slightly greenly tones at front part a lot too. Great one with your very informative notes, congratulations.

Best Regards,

Ertugrul

Hello Georges,
The compactness of this view has a great effect. The buildings, all on different angles, appear almost like in a cubistic painting. There is an amazing lot of small details to discover and get lost in. You have captured the jumble of Cairo, including the haziness. Well done.
Regards,
Gert

Bonsoir Georges
Cordialement.

Bonjour Georges,
Perfect pov to capture the far distance view of the great Mosque also with all the architecture down below it!
the image is sharp with good colour and also with wonderful details
many thanks for the sharing
merci
Tony

Merci pour de la prtage

Bon Samedi

GUY

Hello Georges
great atmosphere
good observation
and look angle
thanks for sharing
best regards

From this POV the architecture seems to be a jumbled mass punctuated with minarets and domes, verifying the information in your note. The large mosque at the top of the hill dominates its surroundings. I like the way the foreground has good contrast which fades towards the background as it becomes lost in the city pollution haze. Well done
Kath

Funny, indeed, Georges. I actually took a look at this photo before I posted mine and part of my note was stolen from you - sorry! It was the best photo I found in many pages of Egypt in TE and the note is really good - not usual to find such a good critic of the touristic monuments (I totally agree with you by the way). I'm curious about from where this was taken...
Perfectly exposed and composed in a clean image - no pollution in the air seen here. Congratulations.
Ricardo

best regards,
Muhammet.
