A workshop by the side of the road, ran by kids who had no engineering qualifications. Yet their work was spot-on.. they fixed a trailor that had been smashed into from behind by a Mercedes desert-taxi within about 15 minutes.
Now in the so-called 'developed' first world this just doesn't happen so quick. Parts have to be sent away, chances are after several days the reply will be "Sorry Mister so and so, your trailor is broken beyond all repair, there is nothing we can do for you, you will have to buy a new one from us at a special price of XYZ". Very wasteful indeed...
As it happens this guy isn't actually cutting metal for our trailor, but he did want me to look at his circular saw, which was his workshop tool. |

Good picture to remind me of the times when the "developed" world resorted to tactics such as this to eek out a living out of desperation. I see how you captured the fact that safety has no place when one takes advantage of child labor. hope the lad retains his eyesight through the years to enjoy photography some day. Good detail with the sparks flying dangerously about without eye protection!
