Le désert blanc doit son nom au calcaire blanc qu'on y trouve sous forme de vastes plaques partiellement couvertes de sable ou de monolithes se dressant au ciel dont la base est souvent érodée par le vent du désert soufflant le sable.

The white desert has its name from the white limestone that you find as partially with sand covered plates on the ground or as monoliths pointing to the sky with eroded basement by the sand filled desert winds.
