[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was a early Sunday morning and I was awoken by the early morning sun creeping in between the blinds. I had arrived in Cairo the night before after dusk in the cover of darkness so I wanted get a first look at how the city looked like. When I got to the balcony I knew I had to grab my camera immediately.
The sun ray peeking through the horizon managed to give a warm glow to the buildings lining the Nile river. The calm morning air also helped keep the surface of the river relatively calm and produced a layer of haze just over the horizon.

The effect was lost as the sun continued to climb in the morning Egypt sky.

Catching well the level of smog in Cairo, seen by the orange layer in the horizon.

Good balance of luminosity and contrast.

great start here...very beautiful light; only advice I could give is to crop it tighter at the left.

Welcome to TE and what a start to your contribution. The haze actually adds wonderful color to the sky. The buildings reflected in the Nile are fabulous. This is an excellent daily life shot.

Welcome to TE and this is a great start. Very nice composition. Beautiful reflections over the Nile. Pollutionlike fog above the city and the orange colour in the horizon give the picture more effects. Regards.
