I found this old tile displayed in the Gayer-Anderson Museum, located next to the Mosque of Ibn Tulun. I love the colours and the detail - it's the sort of design I would like to see on a greetings card.
The museum is named after a British major who collected oriental artworks. It consists of two restored houses originally built in the 16th century and is crammed full of art and period furniture. It's a fascinating place to visit.

I bet it is, Jonathan!
Me, being a detail lover can certainly appreciate your posting. ;-D
Even though it seems to be rather damaged, it still looks gorgeous in its colours and style!
Good eye, Jonathan - cheers,

Nice colourful photo, very intresting. I like the contrasts between all the colours. It doesn't look very very sharp, but that is probably not your photo but the original that caused that.
