The ancient stepped pyramid of Djoser at Suqqara, south of Cairo. Constructed in the 27th century BC outside the former capital city of Memphis, it is older than it's famous rivals at Giza and considdered the worlds earliest large scale construction.

Decent shot, though not spectacular. I might adjust the levels a bit. However, Saqqara is a beautiful place...we rode horses down from Giza one day when I was living there in '94. Great memories of a wonderful country.

The intensity of light is amazing and alomst hurts my eyes and yet you were able to avoid overexposure in the fg. The placement of the pyramid and the camel with its rider is good. I just think that getting closer to get more details of the camel would have rendered a more intereting picture. What about cropping to give the sensation of zoom?

Hi Steve & Ioana,
A photo where the scan and the resulting colors give an ancient feeling, but I like it, and I also like how the emptiness of the place help the two main elements stand out.
Have a nice day,
