Bonjour Daniel -

This is a very nice image. I really like how the only light available is the candlelight. The light is so warm and it adds such a nice glow on the womans face. My first impression was to say that the image is too dark, especially around the woman but further study has convinced me that the image is OK as it is. Just as a test though, I would try to open the shadows around the woman just a touch to see what it looks like. Well done, excellent image!

Beautiful light/shadow and atmosphere here. I might've framed it a little differently to avoid the fair amount of wall on the left, but I like how the woman is at the far right side of the frame. So, I don't know. :) Nice work!

c'est toujours assez difficile d'avoir de bons resultats avec ce genre de lumiere mais ici tu t'en sort tres bien,

Bonita y dificil foto esta. Siempre es complicado la luz de la vela con algo al lado pero esta vez lo has hecho genial.

Une très belle image, avec beaucoup d'émotion. J'aime les teintes chaudes provenant de l'éclairage des bougies et la lumière sur le visage de cette femme. Un excellent choix pour marquer ta 500e image... ça commence à faire vraiment beaucoup!

Et toutes mes félicitations pour cette 500ème !
En plus, tu nous gâtes car cette image est vraiment superbe. Tu as su parfaitement profiter de la lumière des bougies pour capter le regard de cette femme et éclairer doucement son visage. De plus, les peintures derrière sont magnifiques et dans les tons généraux de l'ambiance, je trouve tout cela vraiment superbe !
Encore bravo pour ces 500 photos et cette magnifique image, maintenant en route pour les 1000 !

Une scene tres intimiste ou tu as tres bie mesure l'exposition, et y'a jszrte assez de lumiere pour qu'on puisse voir les icones, bravo !

Una foto deliciosa que nos acerca (y nunca mejor dicho) a la gente que vive en este país. La luz es fantástica y me encanta ver como, y no es nada fácil, una exposición correcta ha conseguido que no aparecieran atisvos de sobreexposición en la luz de las velas.

Considering the context of your 500th post, this photo is almost funny! This is a very good scene with a very controled exposure! The attitude of the lady is excellent. If I want to be a bit picky, I'd say that the 1/4 left is a bit empty compared to the rest of the photo.

I just saw this photo on the front page of Trekearth as a featured destition: Al Buhayrah, Egypt, and I had to comment.
This is one of the most beautiful photos I've seen in a while. The candle light is captured so well. I love the glow on the womans face as she prays with a smile. Great capture.
