During the dry season, women from Digba spend lots of time fishing in the nearby rivers. As the water level drops, fishes hide below the branches or in the muddy river bed...
Here, the nets are positioned in a circle fashion. The woman (bottom center) will move the tree trunk lying across the river in order to chase the fishes out of their hiding places, hoping they will get trapped in the surrounding nets...
At the end of the day fishes will be shared (I even got some though I didn't catch anything and spent most of the day taking photos - I guess I will reincarnate in a very unlucky guy :-)) |

nice view of some daily life activities.....easy to realize that the fish can not see the nets that they are swimming into. I appreciate the explaination.
