I wanted to end (until I (re)start it again) this short series of photos on Ivory Coast on a more joyful note than the previous posts.
This photo was taken in 2000 in the same village (as previous posts): Digba (15 km from Daloa city). Ok, nothing extraordinary about the shot. It was just to remember the team I used to play football with everyday…
Actually what I like is that I can spend hours looking at each of them and their hilarious attitudes, getting charged-up by the funny mood that transpires from the photo. I hope you’ll find at least one face/attitude that makes you smile.

My favorite? I would say Hugo, the one with a hole in his short! “I might have holes in my shorts, my teeth might struggle being in line but I kick asses and I sure won’t miss any opportunities to smile at Life!” Haha :-)

And you?

p.s. for those (or the one ;-)) who have (has) followed the series, you will recognize Kamy (2nd standing from the left)…

...and just look at the fella second from the left (kneeling).
Heck, if he's not a future Idi Amin, or African Mussolini. This guy is ready to take the world in, chew it and spit it out (:-)))
Absolutely delightful photo, Vincent.
Sort of classical, eternal beauty.
Group photography at its best.

have a great weekend

Hi Vincent,
Beautiful group photo i like the random expressions on boys faces. Good choice of sepia, for the photo. It seem like moment frozen in time with all emotions of that day.
Congrats and TFS

I noticed the same boy Polonaise already mentioned. He made me laugh. This is a great group photo. Everybody looks so happy. I love the sepia tone here as well. Thanks for sharing this wonderful photo, it makes me wish I could return to Africa.
Regards,
Ryan

Very Beautiful group photo.
Send them a big Hallo!

Hi Vincent, you appear to be outdoing yourself here. everytime i visit you have something new to share : ) i love the portrait of happy smiling faces. i was quite sad when i left ivory coast as it is so beautifull and yet the scars still remaining of endless war between the various factions.
nice idea with the b&w, good pov and persective. well done.
warm regards
lynette

p.s; congratulations on your gold star, you are on your way...so the countdown begins (16000 point or more) : )

My favorite one? The tallest and oldest one. Hey! I'm a grownup woman after all! ;)
Very good to look at each of these faces! Big or small smiles or posing like a model, they all have an expression of their own.
Sepia/brown is not my favorite, but don't worry, it is not very important for me. Because, the smile I have in looking at all of them is a lot more important!
That will be it for today Vincent. Have a great weekend!
Claire
